A Notary is a public official of this State, commissioned by the Governor of the State of Louisiana with the recommendation and approval of the Senate, and letter of competency by the District Court Judge.

In order to receive your Notarial Commission from the Governor, you are required by the State of Louisiana to take a Notarial Examination.

This examination is only given twice a year - once on the 2nd Monday of July and the 2nd Monday of December (prescribed by law). You must be at least 18 years of age, not a convicted felon, and be a registered voter in the parish in which you reside.

ABOUT THIS COURSE.......

This is designed to be a one night a week class (totalling 14 weeks), including an all-day review.

The classes are being held every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 PM (upstairs) and every Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (downstairs) at the Burk Baker School of Real Estate located at 2834 S. Sherwood Forest Boulevard, Suite B-9, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. Call (225) 292-3093. These classes will consist of lectures, reviews, and training on preparing forms and documents. The course not only includes information needed by all parishes in the state, but it also stresses the areas mostly tested by the Notary Committees in each parish who administers the Notary Examination. The course will be taught by Mr. Ronnie J. LeBoeuf's team of qualified instructors.

In 1997 Mr. LeBoeuf was recognized as one of the top 5 notaries in the United States (out of 4.5 million notaries nationwide) by the National Notary Association located in California. Also in 1998 he was selected by the American Society of Notaries located in Florida as "America's 1998 Notary of the Year". He is a member of the American Society of Notaries (ASN) and the author of the "Notary Study Guide" and "Workbook" which was used at Louisiana State University and Baton Rouge Community College. He is also the creator of "The Practicing Notary" newsletters which is for ALL Notaries in Louisiana and maintains a website for notaries.

This course is designed to assist you in preparing to take the Notarial Examination, but does not guarantee a passing score. Your passing depends upon your efforts, and study time along with "your devotion and dedication" to this.

The registration fee is $700.00, and includes all books, study material and handouts needed for this course.
